Description

  • Install and terminate wiring for pad instrumentation and data acquisition systems.
  • Install connectors, connector pins, terminals, and lugs.
  • Perform continuity checks and locate and correct wiring errors using measuring instruments.
  • Support fellow technicians and engineering employees using shop assembly equipment and hand tools.
  • Collaborate with design engineers to troubleshoot failures and issues from test data.
  • Write, create, and organize work planning documents and instructions.
  • Generate purchase orders from vendor quotes.
  • Lead complex projects with little to no oversight.
  • Install and modify electrical conveyances such as conduit and cable tray.
  • Build, terminate, troubleshoot, and maintain PLC-based manufacturing hardware.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
  • 1+ years of professional experience working with electronic systems.
  • Associate degree in aerospace technology or another technical field is preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience with instrumentation such as pressure transducers, thermocouples, valves, flow meters, multimeters, or oscilloscopes is preferred.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience working with launch site instrumentation is preferred.
  • Experience with ISO 9000, IPC-620, and ICP-610 standards is preferred.
  • Quality inspection experience with harnessing and cables is preferred.
  • Basic understanding of direct current electrical theory is preferred.
  • Experience helping develop and document procedures is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to design and fabricate simple electrical circuits is preferred.
  • PLC and DAQ programming experience is preferred.
  • Experience with NI Max and Studio 5000 is preferred.
  • Proficiency with power tools and hand tools is preferred.
  • Must be able to obtain or already hold required U.S. export authorization under ITAR.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs unassisted and work in tight quarters, at heights up to 300 ft., and in extreme environments.
  • Willingness to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
