Description

  • Lead the overall weapon integration programme across all relevant domains.
  • Oversee end-to-end integration of diverse weapon systems with mission and avionics systems.
  • Design and manage the weapon integration roadmap from concept definition through flight testing and final qualification.
  • Coordinate with internal design teams across structures, aerodynamics, and systems engineering to manage physical and functional integration.
  • Author technical specifications, interface control documents (ICDs), and statements of work for suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Provide technical authority, guidance, and mentorship to engineers on the team.
  • Oversee the verification and validation strategy for weapon integration.
  • Ensure seamless functionality across data buses, software interfaces, and the broader system-of-systems architecture.

Requirements

  • Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems Engineering.
  • Significant experience in the aerospace or defence industry with a demonstrable focus on weapon systems integration.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the full engineering lifecycle, from initial requirements capture to in-service support.
  • Direct, hands-on experience integrating weapon types such as missiles, bombs, or rockets onto fixed-wing or rotary-wing aircraft.
  • In-depth knowledge of mission systems, avionic architectures, and associated data bus standards.
  • Proficiency with engineering tools for requirements management, modeling, and simulation.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to report and present results clearly to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience with flight testing and final qualification (preferred, as implied by the role scope).
  • Experience mentoring or leading engineers in a technical environment.
