Description

  • Deploy globally to support customer-fielded AUV operations.
  • Serve as a product expert for hands-on and remote troubleshooting, mission planning, repair, operation, maintenance, and data collection.
  • Lead troubleshooting, repair, operation, and maintenance of AUVs in the field.
  • Act as the liaison between customers, engineering, and operations to resolve issues.
  • Support training development for initial customer deliveries and follow-on specialized trainings.
  • Gather and incorporate customer feedback into user documentation and training materials.
  • Educate others on AUV operations and subsystem functionality.
  • Support forward-deployed operations in austere OCONUS environments and help ensure successful product employment and sustainment.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience operating at-sea robotic systems, ideally in a customer support role.
  • Extensive hands-on technical experience in field operations, manufacturing, or test environments.
  • Strong problem-solving ability in unstructured environments at the interface of hardware, software, and networking.
  • Proficiency with AUV maintenance, operations, troubleshooting, and repair.
  • Comfort with Linux, command line interfaces, and software debugging.
  • Strong computer skills and documentation experience.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and effective in communication and customer management.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and work extended hours as required.
  • Willingness to travel and support customer-facing operations for 30-45+ day OCONUS rotations.
  • Ability to pass a U.S. Coast Guard Medical Certificate and meet deployment health/medical requirements under DFARS 252.225-7040 and DoDI 3020.41.
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, ocean engineering, related discipline, or comparable experience (preferred).
  • Prior military or overseas contracting experience (preferred).
  • Experience deploying overseas and supporting in hazard zones (preferred).
  • Skilled in deck operations using ship-based cranes, A-frames, or dedicated AUV launch/recovery systems (preferred).
  • Knowledge of electronics troubleshooting and test equipment use (preferred).
  • Experience training and qualifying users or junior staff (preferred).
  • Experience with software development (preferred).
  • Expertise integrating subsea acoustic sensors, navigation, and communication systems (preferred).
  • Knowledge of offshore HSE policies and best practices (preferred).
  • Cover letter highly preferred.
