Description

  • Design, build, and optimize integrations between frontier AI models and government systems, platforms, and data environments.
  • Identify customer pain points, scope product specifications, and develop AI-powered software for government and enterprise use cases.
  • Benchmark models and build evaluation frameworks to assess performance, weaknesses, and compliance with customer standards.
  • Improve model performance through prompt tuning or fine-tuning for secure and scalable deployment.
  • Analyze request logs, prompt data, and system outputs to support reliability and auditability.
  • Build internal tooling to streamline workflows and automate repetitive tasks in secure environments.
  • Partner with agency stakeholders to define requirements, prototype solutions, and iterate based on real-world feedback.
  • Ship production-grade code and features with a focus on speed, simplicity, and measurable impact.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, computer engineering, physics, or data science.
  • 1+ years of hands-on software engineering experience building scalable systems, APIs, or AI/ML applications.
  • Active Top Secret or Top Secret SCI clearance.
  • Demonstrated success working with government agencies, DoD, or federal contractors on AI, software, or data projects.
  • 6+ years of software engineering experience, ideally in high-reliability or high-security environments.
  • Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining robust, scalable, and secure AI-driven solutions in compliance-heavy settings.
  • Proven experience implementing AI or machine learning products with APIs, back-end systems, and front-end interfaces.
  • Proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript.
  • Strong understanding of HTTP and secure API design.
  • Experience building evaluation frameworks for AI systems in regulated or high-stakes contexts.
  • Deep understanding of machine learning fundamentals, including model evaluation, training, and fine-tuning.
  • History of deploying machine learning models to production, ideally in secure or cloud-based government environments.
  • Experience writing developer documentation or maintaining SDKs for technical audiences, including government developers.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools like Pulumi or Terraform.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Active Top Secret or Top Secret SCI with a full scope polygraph.
  • Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
  • 20% travel may be required to government sites.
  • Must meet ITAR eligibility requirements as a U.S. citizen/national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee, or be eligible for required State Department authorization.
