Description

  • Design, develop, and deploy high-quality applications and microservices.
  • Own backend architecture and coding standards for the project.
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and client stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
  • Write clean, maintainable code and conduct thorough code reviews.
  • Mentor other developers and share technical knowledge across the team.
  • Debug and optimize existing software for performance and reliability.
  • Balance delivery speed with technical excellence on complex digital products.
  • Help ensure accessibility, responsiveness, and high performance in the application layer.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of professional software development experience, including 5+ years specifically in Python.
  • Strong general backend development knowledge.
  • Experience with web frameworks such as Django or Flask.
  • Strong understanding of RESTful API design and containerization with Docker.
  • Experience with SQL databases, especially PostgreSQL, and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.
  • Familiarity with modern TypeScript standards and frontend frameworks; Vue.js preferred, with React or Angular also accepted.
  • Experience with CI/CD practices and tools.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure is a plus.
  • Experience with event-driven architectures and message brokers such as Kafka or RabbitMQ is a plus.
  • Ability to work as a senior engineer in a remote-first, Croatia-based team.
  • A proven track record of quickly learning new languages and technologies is valued.
