Description

  • Own day-to-day bookkeeping and general ledger accuracy in Odoo, including transaction coding, classification, and cost-centre mapping.
  • Perform monthly balance sheet and bank reconciliations and promptly investigate and resolve discrepancies.
  • Support month-end and year-end close through journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and supporting schedules.
  • Analyze financial data to identify anomalies, trends, and control gaps.
  • Serve as a key contact for external auditors by preparing schedules, responding to requests, and maintaining audit-ready documentation.
  • Partner with Commercial, Operations, and Procurement teams to resolve financial queries and ensure appropriate accounting treatment.
  • Maintain and improve Odoo accounting workflows, including automation opportunities and stronger controls.
  • Support the Senior Accountant with financial reporting, ad hoc analysis, and process documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and applicable local tax and regulatory requirements, including ZATCA and VAT.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of experience in accounting, finance operations, or audit.
  • Audit or assurance experience at a Big 4 or mid-tier firm is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with Odoo or a similar ERP system.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles, including IFRS, and practical month-end close experience.
  • Strong analytical skills and close attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate confidently with internal stakeholders, auditors, banks, and vendors.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Self-starter with strong ownership, accuracy, and ability to work at pace.
