Description

  • Provide legal support for project financing and renewable energy certificate transactions.
  • Handle entity formation, registration, and ongoing corporate compliance, including state and federal filings such as FERC.
  • Manage subscriber acquisition and the related legal documentation.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate NDAs and other key agreements.
  • Conduct due diligence on real estate matters to support solar project development.
  • Identify and resolve title and survey issues affecting project sites.
  • Collaborate with business teams throughout the project lifecycle from development through construction, finance, and energization.
  • Advise on regulatory compliance, legal trends, and evolving issues in new markets.
  • Partner with Business Development to structure and close deals efficiently.
  • Serve as a strategic legal advisor to leadership on governance, risk mitigation, and company-wide legal issues.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Active bar membership in good standing.
  • 1+ years of relevant legal experience in corporate law, including project finance and/or M&A.
  • Experience in the renewable energy sector is ideal, but not required.
  • Strong experience in contract negotiation and corporate regulatory compliance.
  • Ability to balance business needs with legal and regulatory compliance objectives.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Fully remote work capability, with the option to work from the Asbury Park, NJ headquarters.
