Description

  • Own and coordinate U.S. Money Transmitter License (MTL) applications, renewals, and regulatory reporting across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Track application status, manage regulator requests, and coordinate documentation for state-specific licensing requirements.
  • Partner with Finance, Operations, Compliance, Legal, and external consultants to ensure timely submissions and regulatory responses.
  • Build, improve, and maintain licensing trackers, reporting calendars, documentation repositories, and regulatory workflow processes.
  • Track licensing status, regulatory deadlines, call report submissions, and related compliance obligations.
  • Support U.S. time-zone compliance operations coverage, regulator inquiries, and non-U.S. compliance filings as needed.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in regulatory compliance, licensing, or financial services operations.
  • Experience in a startup, scaling, regulated fintech, or payments environment.
  • Strong organization, regulatory tracking, documentation management, and cross-functional coordination skills.
  • Familiarity with NMLS, state money transmitter licensing processes, or regulatory reporting obligations.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, jurisdictions, deadlines, and regulatory priorities effectively.
  • Clear communication and collaboration skills.
  • An ownership-driven, flexible, and problem-solving mindset.
  • Experience in payments, fintech, or MSB (money transmission) environments is preferred.
  • Familiarity with compliance tools for KYC, transaction monitoring, and blockchain analysis is preferred.
  • Experience with multi-jurisdictional and international licensing and reporting frameworks is preferred.
