Description

  • Lead development and testing of system components and services, including code and design reviews.
  • Participate in shaping the technical architecture of the product.
  • Translate user stories into technical solutions.
  • Deliver highly available and scalable services in a production environment.
  • Mentor other engineers and help strengthen the team’s technical culture.
  • Generate ideas for new initiatives and technologies.
  • Communicate with project leads, product managers, and other software developers.
  • Contribute across the product lifecycle from ideation through deployment and continual improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, ideally in a technical field, or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • 5+ years of programming experience, ideally on a modern stack.
  • 4+ years of Java, Kotlin, or Scala programming experience.
  • Experience with relational databases and ORMs.
  • Experience working in a collaborative coding environment using git, code reviews, tests, and pull requests.
  • Strong sense of responsibility and ability to drive a project from inception to completion.
  • Willingness to collaborate closely with others and get things done.
  • Affinity for solving problems and shipping impactful features.
  • Experience with trading and/or exchange systems (preferred).
  • Experience with workflow platforms such as Temporal.io or AWS Step Functions (preferred).
  • Experience scaling highly available, mission-critical systems (preferred).
  • Experience with trading APIs for crypto or securities (preferred).
  • Familiarity with the FIX Protocol (preferred).
  • Experience with Scrum (preferred).
