Description

  • Manage the structuring process for securitizations and loan sales, including Intex file setup, iteration, and cash flow model analysis.
  • Analyze the economic impact of different capital markets funding options, including ABS transactions, whole loan sales, warehouse financing, and bulk sales.
  • Validate third-party valuation agent assumptions and run internal analyses of the fair market value of SoFi’s managed loan pools.
  • Monitor dashboards and spreadsheets tracking the performance of securitizations and other transactions.
  • Review and negotiate transactional terms in partnership with internal and external counsel through to execution.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across credit, legal, engineering, product, treasury, accounting, servicing, and finance.
  • Prepare content, communications, correspondence, and due diligence materials for investors, lenders, rating agencies, and other external partners.
  • Provide strategic support on whole loan sales, asset-backed securitizations, new products, securities financing, unsecured lines of credit, and future financing initiatives.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of relevant experience, primarily in capital markets and ABS execution.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, economics, or a similar technical field.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with technical and organizational abilities.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and deep knowledge of Intex Dealmaker and Bloomberg.
  • Clear understanding of rating agency criteria and how they translate into transactional structures.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret financial contracts and knowledge of core documents and industry-standard transactional best practices.
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Previous experience with lending or consumer credit products such as mortgages, student loans, credit cards, or personal loans is a plus.
  • Previous experience with asset-backed securitization data sets such as Bloomberg, Intex, or DV01 is a plus.
