Description

  • Design and build robust Java backend services and APIs for a multi-tenant SaaS platform.
  • Ship product features end to end and collaborate directly with product and customers on what to build.
  • Improve the reliability, performance, and scalability of owned services through production.
  • Own the AWS and Kubernetes infrastructure supporting the services you build.
  • Maintain CI/CD pipelines, GitOps workflows, observability, and related platform tooling.
  • Improve the systems that support agentic development, including fast CI feedback and reliable dev environments.
  • Drive architectural decisions across service design and platform evolution.

Requirements

  • 5+ years building backend software at a product company.
  • Strong Java experience, including APIs, async processing, concurrency, and performance tuning.
  • Solid SQL experience in a backend context, including schema design, query optimization, and production migrations.
  • Experience with AWS and Kubernetes in production, including EKS, IAM, networking, RDS, and S3.
  • Experience with CI/CD, GitOps, and infrastructure-as-code tools such as GitHub Actions, ArgoCD/Flux, Terraform, or Pulumi.
  • Strong observability skills with metrics, logging, tracing, and testing practices.
  • Experience shipping production code with AI coding agents such as Claude Code or Cursor.
  • Ability to work independently in a distributed, async team across 12+ countries.
  • Fluent English.
  • Experience with multi-tenant SaaS or high-growth startups is a plus.
  • Python experience is a plus.
  • Experience in regulated environments such as ISO27001 or SOC2 is a plus.
  • Experience building agentic workflows or AI-driven automation into products is a plus.
  • Experience in data quality, data management, data observability, or ML monitoring is a plus.
