Description

  • Work closely with client studios to bring games to realization.
  • Design, implement, and debug game features.
  • Develop game toolsets and pipelines.
  • Analyze and optimize runtime performance and code.
  • Collaborate on systems and tools that help designers implement their creative vision.
  • Build strong relationships with programming peers in-house and across global teams.
  • Support teammates and help junior programmers grow and succeed.
  • Take technical lead ownership on some projects when needed.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience.
  • Advanced programming skills in C++ and C# with a strong understanding of fundamentals.
  • Deeper understanding of what code is doing, not just whether it works.
  • Experience with game engines such as Unity 3D and Unreal Engine.
  • Experience working in large codebases.
  • Ability to analyze and optimize code.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Comfort with vector and matrix math, and proficiency with algorithms.
  • Understanding of design patterns and their benefits and drawbacks.
  • BSc in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • Bonus: experience with console development such as PS5 or Xbox Series X.
  • Bonus: experience with mobile development.
  • Bonus: shipped one or more games.
  • Bonus: experience working directly with external clients.
  • Must reside in Ontario and be legally authorized to work in Canada.
  • Primary working language is English.

  • Salary range of CAD $92,000 to $132,000 based on experience and skillset.
