Description

  • Partner with customers from use case scoping and data exploration through model development and deployment.
  • Design and implement GenAI and machine learning solutions using state-of-the-art tools and approaches.
  • Develop retrieval-augmented generation, fine-tuning pipelines, prompt engineering recipes, and agentic workflows.
  • Create augmented datasets and evaluation workflows to improve model reliability, transparency, and trust.
  • Manage relationships with customer leadership and stakeholders to support successful project delivery.
  • Collaborate with Solutions and Product teams to map customer needs to current capabilities and identify roadmap gaps.
  • Standardize repeatable solutions into internal tooling, workflows, and best practices with other Applied AI Engineers.
  • Lead stakeholder education on quantitative capabilities and help audiences understand tradeoffs across approaches.
  • Serve as a voice of the customer by sharing feedback on new AI paradigms and data science workflows with product teams.
  • Conduct enablement workshops for customers considering or already using Snorkel AI.
  • Work on complex National Security use cases and travel up to 25% annually.

Requirements

  • B.S. degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of customer-facing experience designing and implementing AI/ML solutions.
  • Proficiency in Python and strong software engineering fundamentals, including modular design, testing, profiling, and packaging.
  • Experience with Python tools and frameworks such as pydantic, mypy, pytest, poetry, FastAPI, msgspec, Ray, and Airflow.
  • Expertise across the Applied AI stack, including scikit-learn, PyTorch, Hugging Face Transformers, FAISS, pandas, Spark, Chroma, Weaviate, LlamaIndex, LangGraph, and CrewAI.
  • Experience with synthetic dataset curation and evaluation workflows.
  • Experience leading strategic customer-facing initiatives and translating ML solutions into business outcomes.
  • Outstanding presentation skills for both technical and executive audiences.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities at once.
  • Active TS (Top Secret) clearance is required.
  • Experience reviewing or drafting federal RFCs, RFIs, and RFPs is preferred.
  • Experience across Civilian, DOD, and NATSEC agencies, including Federal Law Enforcement, Healthcare, Financial/Regulatory, or Military operations and logistics, is preferred.
