Description

  • Work with UX designers to design and enhance budgeting and planning functionality, including dashboards, input forms, reports, and workflows.
  • Explain proposed functionality using mockups and process flow diagrams.
  • Explain government processes to employees with no government experience.
  • Conduct business process analysis.
  • Work with key stakeholders to prioritize and manage BAS roadmap needs.
  • Support customer demonstrations and take a lead role with customers.
  • Gather requirements and work with the implementation team to deploy the BAS solution.
  • Manage software releases, ensuring the application is fully tested and documented.
  • Develop test plans, test scenarios, and test cases, and manage testing execution.
  • Create documentation such as admin guides, end-user documentation, training guides, and online help.

Requirements

  • 5+ years working with government budgets and spend plans.
  • Deep understanding of government financial processes, including budget formulation, spend plans, position planning, budget execution, working capital funds, and reimbursable agreements.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Curiosity and a desire to learn.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Technically savvy and comfortable with technology in general.
  • Public Trust clearance or the ability to obtain one.
  • Experience as a product owner, product manager, or project manager (preferred).
  • Experience deploying a financial planning and/or business intelligence application (preferred).
  • Experience with an off-the-shelf planning tool such as SAP BPC, SAC, OneStream, Oracle, Hyperion, or Anaplan, or a custom-built solution (preferred).
  • Experience with an off-the-shelf BI/reporting tool such as SAP SAC, PowerBI, Tableau, or Qlik (preferred).
  • SQL skills (preferred).
  • Experience testing applications (preferred).
