Description

  • Own the technical strategy for sales opportunities in partnership with Account Executives, from pipeline generation through closed-won.
  • Lead customer discovery and translate technical challenges, business goals, and success criteria into tailored Datadog solutions.
  • Deliver product demonstrations, technical presentations, and workshops focused on customer outcomes.
  • Manage proof-of-value evaluations end to end, including requirements, success criteria, project plans, timelines, and accountability.
  • Identify and develop technical champions who can advocate for Datadog and build internal customer consensus.
  • Provide customer feedback to Product and Engineering teams to help shape product direction.
  • Maintain accurate records of activities, deal progress, and customer interactions in relevant systems.
  • Collaborate with Product, Support, and go-to-market teams to address customer needs and resolve technical blockers.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Sales Engineering, Solutions Engineering, or a technical customer-facing enterprise role.
  • Experience navigating multi-stakeholder environments and communicating with technical, business, and executive audiences.
  • Background in public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes, APM/tracing, security, developer experience, or observability.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
  • Consultative approach to problem-solving and customer engagement.
  • Ability to manage multiple opportunities and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Growth mindset, including willingness to embrace change and AI tools.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for customer engagements.
