Description

  • Manage the development of a game title from concept through final release, meeting defined budgets, schedules, and quality targets.
  • Work with Studio Directors and Team Leads to define, communicate, and maintain a clear product vision and long-term strategy.
  • Create milestone schedules, secure buy-in from Leads and Studio Directors, and track progress to ensure timely delivery.
  • Own and align development efforts with the product's core pillars, player experience goals, and business objectives.
  • Drive ongoing development and collaborate with live operations teams to update and improve released products.
  • Assign, track, and ensure daily tasks align with the product vision while fostering team ownership, accountability, and quality.
  • Identify and mitigate risks early, and communicate issues along with proposed solutions to stakeholders and partners.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for publishers and business partners on milestones, deliverables, and development issues.
  • Create and maintain project management documentation, including status reports, project plans, communication plans, and post-mortems.
  • Mentor junior production staff, conduct annual reviews and career goal setting for Team Leads, and promote positive team communication and leadership.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years' experience producing PC, mobile, or console games in a project/product management role.
  • Experience on at least 2 shipped titles in a project manager, product owner, or senior production role.
  • Proven experience working start-to-finish on a full game project (full lifecycle delivery).
  • Strong grounding in project management practices and agile development, with hands-on experience using tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps (ADO), Excel, and dev/test tools.
  • Strong product mindset with the ability to champion and maintain product vision and align teams around long-term product goals.
  • Demonstrated experience working with external clients or publishers, managing expectations and delivery alignment.
  • Ability to manage and run effective live operations (LiveOps) for released games.
  • Outstanding organizational, communication, and stakeholder-management skills; self-directed, detail-oriented, and able to handle multiple tasks under pressure.
  • Must be currently located within the greater Vancouver area (role is offered remotely but location-restricted).
  • Bachelor’s degree/diploma or equivalent experience preferred; knowledge of Photoshop, PowerPoint, and MindManager is a plus.

  • Salary range: $85,000 - $120,000 CAD
