Description

  • Support the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of web-based applications.
  • Gather and evaluate product requirements, propose technical solutions, and estimate development timelines.
  • Write high-quality, documented code that follows team and departmental standards.
  • Analyze systems for interoperability, performance, maintainability, and reliability.
  • Create and maintain technical product and end-user support documentation.
  • Participate in code reviews, identify defects proactively, and recommend improvements.
  • Investigate and resolve complex technical challenges and project roadblocks.
  • Support colleagues on complex projects by providing technical guidance and solutions.
  • Maintain expertise in relevant technologies, including data storage, data capture, and machine learning frameworks.
  • Promote software development best practices and provide recommendations on technical design and industry trends.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of full-cycle software development lifecycle experience; healthcare or technology industry experience preferred.
  • Post-secondary education in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Hands-on experience with Java, Spring, RESTful APIs, SQL, relational databases, and Git.
  • Understanding of CI pipelines, build automation, Docker containerization, deployment, and DevOps practices.
  • Experience developing middleware products, transaction processing, and unit testing or TDD.
  • Experience with end-to-end feature development and maintaining code repositories for quality and health.
  • Strong technical documentation skills.
  • Knowledge or experience with healthcare systems, HL7, or FHIR preferred.
  • Full-stack experience with Angular, JavaScript, Node.js, npm, HTTP protocols, and browser-based development preferred.
