Description

  • Perform stress, load, regression, and performance testing to validate production readiness of software applications and infrastructure.
  • Model performance scenarios and identify system and resource bottlenecks through initial analysis.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, development teams, and infrastructure teams to define performance requirements and test plans.
  • Design, develop, and execute performance test plans across multiple projects, including documenting results and investigating root causes.
  • Analyze non-functional requirements and determine the most appropriate test strategy and approach.
  • Collect, analyze, and report performance testing results to cross-functional teams.
  • Understand product functionality in detail to plan testing and other QA activities.
  • Review performance test scripts to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Recommend improvements to product performance and scalability.
  • Design, implement, and maintain performance test frameworks.
  • Use JMeter or similar tools to execute load and performance tests against API and web applications.
  • Design and execute daily load benchmarks as well as larger system-level tests.
  • Track and report billable hours accurately in Netsuite and fully utilize the project management tool.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in performance testing.
  • Experience with service virtualization and performance test data management tools.
  • Experience with application monitoring, alerting, and log tracing tools.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL Server or Azure SQL databases.
  • Excellent technical documentation skills.
  • Good understanding of SDLC methodologies and experience working in Agile projects.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure or another major public cloud vendor, highly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Kubernetes, Azure CLI, distributed JMeter execution, OAuth 2.0 API authorization, and Linux bash, highly preferred.
  • Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent relevant work experience.
