Description

  • Develop and maintain backend infrastructure using Node.js and Nest.js.
  • Improve the efficiency, scalability, and reliability of backend systems.
  • Integrate backend services with messaging systems and other technologies.
  • Monitor systems, backend infrastructure, feature performance, and data integrity.
  • Identify and address security vulnerabilities and maintain security best practices.
  • Develop and maintain automated behavior-based test suites.
  • Solve complex technical problems, including those involving legacy codebases.
  • Collaborate with the team in a remote, innovative engineering environment.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience shipping production Node.js code through continuous deployments.
  • Familiarity with Nest.js or a comparable backend framework.
  • 4+ years of production experience with message queues such as AWS SNS/SQS, RabbitMQ, or similar AMQP technologies.
  • Proficiency with Docker or comparable container platforms.
  • Experience developing RESTful or RPC-based APIs.
  • Ability to write behavior-based tests using Jest or Mocha-Sinon-Chai.
  • Experience monitoring backend systems and ensuring feature and data integrity.
  • Strong understanding of challenges involved in building large-scale Node.js applications.
  • Knowledge of security best practices and vulnerability mitigation.
  • Fluent English; AWS experience and demonstrated technical leadership are preferred.
