Description

Create new brand directions that elevate the Smartsheet brand and deliver clear, on-brand work that delights users.
Participate in defining, creating, and maintaining design systems, component libraries, and brand guidelines.
Lead and mentor other designers by reviewing work and supporting their professional growth.
Own projects from initial concept through final delivery with minimal direction.
Manage multiple medium-to-large projects at once while meeting deadlines and helping junior designers manage time and resources.
Partner with stakeholders and act as an owner of business outcomes, not just visual output.
Present work across teams and to leadership, incorporating feedback and keeping work aligned to the brief.
Commission external specialists such as artists and photographers for high-impact projects.

Requirements

10+ years of experience in mid- to senior-level roles focused on marketing collateral, brand systems, and digital strategy, ideally in the technology sector.
Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Creative Cloud, Firefly, and Express.
Bachelor’s degree in design, relevant certifications, or equivalent professional experience.
Strong strategic judgment with the ability to connect creative solutions to business needs and available resources.
Proactive stakeholder collaboration with a peer-level ownership mindset.
Deep understanding of global trends and the ability to design for different regions and languages, including Generative and Agentic AI.
Entrepreneurial, fast-moving mindset with the ability to balance iteration speed and high-quality output.
Bonus skills include motion design in After Effects, document design in Google and Microsoft Office, and web tools such as Figma, Zeplin, Webflow, HTML/CSS, and Drupal.
Must reside in Costa Rica and be eligible for remote work within Costa Rica.
