Description

  • Work with global Legal and People teams on a wide variety of employment law matters.
  • Provide employment counsel and legal advice to the People team and other customer-facing departments.
  • Support general corporate matters, commercial contracts, and other legal projects outside the employment niche as needed.
  • Collaborate with legal colleagues and business stakeholders across domestic and international locations to develop employment policies aligned with the company’s legal strategy.
  • Manage outside counsel, including guidance, staffing, case management, and budget oversight.
  • Maintain and improve standard agreement forms, alternate language playbooks, and internal legal resource documents.
  • Manage a portfolio of employment matters, including unemployment claims, administrative audits, agency charges, and workers’ compensation claims.
  • Deliver legal training and guidance to management on legal issues, best practices, and company policies.
  • Lead sensitive internal investigations with empathy, objectivity, and discretion.
  • Support general business operations and complete special projects as requested.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of relevant legal practice, preferably including top-tier employment law firm experience.
  • Substantive experience litigating a wide variety of employment matters, including complex litigation and administrative or agency matters.
  • Ability to translate and simplify complex legal concepts for non-legal business partners.
  • Ability to analyze problems and recommend practical solutions that balance legal and business risks.
  • Ability to maintain composure and influence in high-pressure or contentious situations.
  • Strong partnership-building skills with legal teammates and broader business stakeholders.
  • Willingness to assist other members of the Legal team as opportunities arise.
  • Strong team-oriented and service-oriented mindset.
  • Persistent attention to detail.
  • Ability to operate successfully in a fast-paced environment focused on excellence, execution, and teamwork.
  • J.D. from an accredited law school and active membership in a state bar.
