Description

  • Build and scale machine-learning driven features across multiple products.
  • Design reusable architecture that accelerates machine learning development across the company.
  • Deploy and maintain machine learning models and pipelines in production environments.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, data engineers, and application engineers to integrate ML models into the broader platform.
  • Build tools that improve the productivity and workflow of data scientists.
  • Contribute to the design and architecture of ML systems.
  • Help manage the full lifecycle of machine learning models, including release and post-launch monitoring.
  • Influence a cross-disciplinary organization to adopt machine learning best practices.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of development experience focused on machine learning and engineering roles.
  • Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
  • Experience with machine learning libraries such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
  • Experience managing the full model production lifecycle, including deployment, release, and post-launch monitoring.
  • Experience working with cross-disciplinary teams to integrate machine learning into product features.
  • Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS, and their machine learning services.
  • Experience project managing a small team using a modern agile methodology.
  • Strong understanding of data engineering and architecture principles.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
  • Nice to have: experience as a startup founder or first engineering hire at a startup.
  • Nice to have: health tech experience, particularly in hospital billing systems.
  • Nice to have: end-to-end machine learning project lifecycle experience from data collection and model training to deployment and monitoring.
  • Nice to have: deployment of LLM systems into production environments.
  • Nice to have: contributions to open-source projects or active participation in the machine learning community.
  • Tech stack includes Python, PyTorch, pandas/Polars, Airflow, Snowflake, dbt, AWS, MLflow, SageMaker, Terraform, and Kubernetes.

  • $190,000-$220,000 base salary.
