Description

  • Design, build, and launch new backend services and capabilities for SmarterDx applications.
  • Improve the overall quality and reliability of the company’s apps.
  • Collaborate across disciplines to understand users and iterate on new ideas.
  • Protect patient privacy and security through secure coding practices.
  • Research and advocate for improved techniques, processes, and designs within the team.
  • Support SmarterDx applications in production.
  • Work on core systems that handle, process, and analyze clinical data at scale.
  • Contribute across the stack when needed.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of development experience with a focus on backend and cloud-based solutions.
  • Expertise in Python.
  • Experience working with Postgres or a similar relational database.
  • Experience building cloud-native distributed systems.
  • Experience working with event-driven architectures.
  • Experience working with data scientists to plan, build, and iterate on deliverables.
  • Experience working in a security-conscious environment.
  • Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience at a scale-up or rapid-growth technology company (preferred).
  • Experience in the health tech domain, particularly in hospital billing systems (preferred).
  • Experience working with Kubernetes (preferred).
  • Experience working with Airflow and tools that handle ELT pipelines (preferred).
  • Experience with Snowflake and dbt (preferred).
  • Experience with full-stack ownership and development using JavaScript/React (preferred).

  • Base salary of $190K to $230K.
