Description

  • Own the quality process end to end and build the automated test framework hands-on.
  • Understand how the multi-repo digital health platform works across client, end-user, and internal operations perspectives.
  • Clarify requirements, document expected behaviour, and work from partially outdated inherited documentation.
  • Author English-readable test scenarios in Cucumber and Gherkin.
  • Build and maintain automation in JavaScript and TypeScript.
  • Drive UI testing through a page object model and add missing data-test-ids in React code.
  • Validate database state using SQL and reproduce multi-step defects precisely.
  • Run exploratory testing to identify incorrect behaviour, edge cases, and product risks.
  • Feed into requirements early for new features and flag compliance, regulatory, and security implications.
  • Improve test coverage, pass rates, and release reliability as the product evolves.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in QA or test automation, with hands-on TypeScript or JavaScript.
  • 4+ years of hands-on test automation coding in TypeScript or JavaScript.
  • 2+ years of BDD test authoring with Cucumber and Gherkin.
  • 3+ years of web UI test automation using a page object model, preferably with Playwright.
  • 2+ years of end-to-end QA ownership, including defining, documenting, building, and maintaining tests.
  • 3+ years of requirements analysis and stakeholder communication experience.
  • 2+ years of SQL querying to validate database state, using MySQL or PostgreSQL.
  • 3+ years of exploratory testing and precise multi-step defect reproduction.
  • Ability to drive automation and own the build with limited direction.
  • Strong detail orientation, with the ability to spot edge cases and gaps in specifications.
  • Hands-on JavaScript or TypeScript automation coding is non-negotiable.
  • Mobile app testing and automation experience, especially with Flutter apps, is preferred.
  • Experience with Appium or Flutter integration_test is preferred.
  • Experience reading and working with React front-end code is preferred.
  • Experience with Angular, Vue, or another modern JavaScript framework is preferred.
  • Security and regulatory awareness, including ISO 27001, GDPR, or NHS DTAC, is preferred.
  • Experience in another regulated or audited environment is preferred.
  • ISO 13485 medical-device regulated-environment testing is preferred.
  • Experience in an adjacent regulated domain such as medtech, fintech, or NHS/DTAC is preferred.
  • Healthtech or digital health domain experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using AI in the engineering workflow is preferred.
