Description

  • Develop and maintain backend systems using PHP, Symfony, and PHPUnit.
  • Build and run products in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Estimate, plan, and break down tasks to support predictable delivery.
  • Review specifications and design solutions for high-impact features.
  • Monitor, deploy, and troubleshoot features in staging and production.
  • Own incidents during on-call rotations and drive rapid resolution.
  • Enforce coding, testing, and documentation standards to maintain quality.
  • Review code, ensure test coverage, and improve maintainability.
  • Design scalable APIs and systems aligned with business requirements.
  • Mentor teammates on TDD, BDD, DDD, and best practices.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of PHP experience.
  • At least 1 year of hands-on experience with Symfony on one project.
  • 1.5+ years of experience with PHPUnit for testing.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment.
  • Strong understanding of secure coding practices, including OWASP.
  • Experience designing scalable APIs and backend systems.
  • Experience with MongoDB (2+ years, preferred).
  • Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes (preferred).
  • Exposure to JavaScript, jQuery, React, API, NodeJS, or TypeScript (preferred).
