Description

  • Execute responsibilities in alignment with Slingshot’s core values, mission, and purpose.
  • Oversee accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and the general ledger.
  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX, and applicable financial regulations.
  • Lead regulatory reporting and manage relationships with external auditors.
  • Implement and optimize financial systems such as ERP/NetSuite to improve scalability and efficiency.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to leadership on financial planning, pricing strategy, and resource allocation.
  • Lead annual budgeting and multi-year financial forecasting processes.
  • Monitor financial performance, provide variance analysis, and deliver actionable insights.
  • Manage cash flow, liquidity, and capital planning to support operations and growth.
  • Partner cross-functionally with department leaders to drive financial discipline and operational efficiency.
  • Lead financial due diligence and support mergers and acquisitions activities.
  • Provide financial reporting and insights to investors, financial institutions, and external stakeholders.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance and accounting team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 15+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience.
  • 10+ years in leadership roles, preferably within the technology sector.
  • Proven experience managing full finance and accounting functions in a high-growth environment.
  • Deep knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting and compliance requirements.
  • Experience with financial systems such as NetSuite or similar ERP platforms.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, scaling organization.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to drive change and results.
  • MBA and/or CPA certification is preferred.
  • Experience supporting M&A transactions and due diligence is preferred.
  • Background in scaling finance organizations within startup or high-growth environments is preferred.
  • Advanced experience with financial modeling, forecasting, and strategic planning is preferred.
  • US-based candidates must reside in an eligible U.S. state; internationally-based candidates must reside in the United Kingdom.
