Description

  • Develop and maintain Android applications that support Compass’s real estate platform.
  • Build robust and scalable mobile features using modern Android development practices.
  • Collaborate with international teammates, especially the US team, through daily communication and prompt updates.
  • Write clean code and apply solid engineering and computer science fundamentals to solve problems.
  • Implement unit tests and automation tests to support code quality and reliability.
  • Participate in GitHub pull request workflows, including code commits, task decomposition, and documentation.
  • Work flexible hours to maintain collaboration across time zones, including overlap with U.S. Eastern Time when needed.
  • Contribute to the shipping of apps to the Google Play Store.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional Android development experience with Kotlin.
  • 3+ years of experience with modern Kotlin development, including Jetpack libraries and Jetpack Compose.
  • Experience shipping Android apps to the Google Play Store.
  • Experience with unit testing and automation testing.
  • Strong knowledge of data structures, programming, engineering fundamentals, and clean coding practices.
  • Strong understanding of Android design patterns and best practices.
  • Proficiency with common Git commands and GitHub pull request workflows.
  • Fluent English communication skills for working with international stakeholders.
  • Strong logical thinking, problem-solving ability, and communication skills.
  • Must be located anywhere in Vietnam and be a Vietnamese citizen or hold a valid Vietnam work visa.
  • Available to work full-time, 40 hours per week, with an average of 8 hours per day.
  • Prior remote work experience is preferred.
