Description

  • Design, build, and ship full-stack features across the Guardian monitoring platform, including UI, APIs, backend services, and data pipelines.
  • Own features end-to-end from prototype and API design through production rollout and iteration.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, designers, and engineers across Guardian and adjacent teams.
  • Participate in architecture discussions and technical design reviews to help make sound trade-off decisions.
  • Write well-tested, maintainable code that supports quality, observability, and reliability.
  • Mentor teammates and contribute to a collaborative, high-trust engineering culture.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and own production reliability for your features.
  • Build backend services that analyze telemetry data and frontend interfaces that help teams understand release health.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, preferably across both frontend and backend features.
  • Proficiency across the full stack, preferably with TypeScript/React on the frontend and Go or a similar language on the backend.
  • Strong product instincts with the ability to translate ambiguous requirements into clean, well-scoped solutions.
  • Collaborative and communicative, with comfort working across teams, functions, and ambiguity.
  • Experience building or deeply using monitoring, alerting, or observability systems is a plus.
  • Familiarity with feature flagging, release automation, or developer tooling is a plus.
  • Experience working on production systems with reliability and observability concerns is preferred.
  • Ability to participate in on-call rotations and take ownership of production issues.
  • Experience in backend services, data pipelines, or UI development is preferred.

  • Target salary range of $171,200-$235,400 in Zone 1, $154,100-$211,860 in Zone 2, or $145,500-$200,090 in Zone 3.
