Description

  • Serve as the governance and control backbone for enterprise change, configuration, and release operations.
  • Facilitate the Change Advisory Board (CAB) and Virtual CAB (VCAB) and document decisions.
  • Coordinate change approvals and reduce unauthorized or undocumented changes.
  • Maintain the CMDB, define CI identification standards, and keep configuration records auditable.
  • Manage the incident lifecycle from detection through resolution.
  • Lead problem management and write post-incident and after-action reports with root cause analysis.
  • Administer and improve tools including ServiceNow, SharePoint, Confluence, and configuration tools such as GitHub Enterprise or iManage.
  • Coordinate release and patch governance, including ISVM and non-ISVM patches, QA gates, testing artifacts, and deployment scheduling.
  • Support security compliance artifacts and map changes to DHS Systems Engineering Life Cycle (SELC) requirements.
  • Build dashboards and recurring reports on change volume, incident trends, and performance.
  • Partner with engineering, operations, and DevSecOps teams to improve reliability and execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong understanding of ITIL, including change, configuration, incident, problem, and release management.
  • Hands-on experience with ServiceNow, especially the Change module and/or CMDB.
  • Comfort using SharePoint and Confluence.
  • Experience facilitating CABs or change boards and coordinating stakeholder approvals.
  • Experience with configuration management, CI standards, CMDB hygiene, and audit-ready records.
  • Strong incident and problem management skills, including root-cause analysis and writing.
  • Familiarity with federal security and compliance expectations such as FISMA, NIST, and ISVM/patch governance, or willingness to learn.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance.
  • ITIL 4 certification preferred.
  • ServiceNow admin certification preferred.
  • Experience serving as an ISSO or supporting ATO/security compliance for a tool suite preferred.
  • Prior experience in a federal or DHS environment, especially with ICCB or SELC, preferred.
