Description

  • Design, implement, and test software solutions for K-12 learning environments.
  • Build and test RESTful web services using NodeJS, Google Apps Script, and Postman.
  • Work with AWS services to build, host, and maintain application environments.
  • Administer Canvas, SIS, LMS, and third-party integrations for existing and new schools.
  • Analyze and resolve technical and application issues, including production incidents and deployment support.
  • Support user interface design and development.
  • Collaborate with developers, testers, product owners, software development managers, and school operations teams.
  • Perform system setup, maintenance, updates, troubleshooting, and annual rollover support.
  • Create and maintain documentation and provide training as needed.
  • Work with multiple departments on data requests, automation, custom reports, and data mapping.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical or electronics engineering, information systems, systems engineering, or a related equivalent.
  • Experience administering complex systems/integrations such as Canvas LMS, SIS, and Clever integrations.
  • Strong technical aptitude to learn new systems, processes, and backend reporting.
  • Experience developing web services, web applications, and modern user interfaces.
  • Demonstrable experience implementing features across a software development team and environment.
  • Ability to design, write, edit, modify, and debug code in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Understanding of relational databases and proficiency with SQL.
  • Experience with message queue technology and design patterns.
  • 3+ years of experience with NodeJS and 3+ years with JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with AWS services such as S3, Lambda, SNS, SQS, EC2, CloudFront, and Redshift.
  • Experience with AWS APIs, Git version control, and Unix/Linux environments.
  • Experience with ticket tracking and end-user support.
  • Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks (FBI/BCI).
  • Preferred: experience administering training platforms, working independently, working under pressure, and using NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.
  • Preferred: experience with AWS CDK.
