Description

  • Support modernization of enterprise IT operations for a federal customer through automation and orchestration.
  • Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, and ARM.
  • Design and deploy Robotic Process Automation workflows to eliminate repetitive manual tasks.
  • Stand up and tune AIOps and observability platforms to detect anomalies and enable auto-remediation.
  • Automate infrastructure and operations across AWS, Azure, and on-prem environments.
  • Write reusable scripts in Python, PowerShell, and Bash.
  • Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps toolchains.
  • Support 24x7 operations through monitoring, orchestration, and backup/recovery tooling.
  • Patch, harden, and maintain compliance by remediating vulnerabilities and applying security updates.
  • Document automation solutions and track efficiency and error-reduction results.
  • Collaborate with engineers, network teams, and developers to replace manual toil with automation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code, especially Terraform and Ansible.
  • Experience with automation, RPA, orchestration, and scripting in Python, PowerShell, and Bash.
  • Cloud experience across AWS and/or Azure, with comfort in hybrid on-prem environments.
  • Experience with monitoring, observability, or AIOps platforms.
  • Working knowledge of ITIL service management and automation in change, patch, and vulnerability management.
  • Familiarity with federal security frameworks such as FISMA, NIST 800-53, and FedRAMP, or willingness to learn quickly.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance.
  • Background investigation required for employment.
  • Preferred: Certifications such as AWS/Azure Associate-or-above, Terraform Associate, or ITIL 4.
  • Preferred: Experience building self-healing automation with measurable incident reduction.
  • Preferred: Prior experience supporting a federal or DHS environment.
