Description

  • Oversee and support moderators and admins across Reddit, Discord, and Steam community channels.
  • Apply and adapt Skydance’s community voice across Paramount IP community spaces.
  • Develop and execute community engagement strategies that drive retention, advocacy, and organic growth.
  • Create and publish community content such as updates, patch notes, AMAs, dev posts, and spotlights.
  • Support the social media team with content ideation, production, and publishing.
  • Partner with marketing, production, and development teams to translate game updates into clear community communications.
  • Monitor conversations, sentiment, and trends and share actionable insights with internal teams.
  • Lead moderation strategy and enforcement, including work with volunteer moderators when applicable.
  • Design and run community activations, including events, contests, and live Q&As.
  • Support game launches and live service beats with real-time communication and player support coordination.
  • Work with brand marketing on community events and activations at Comic-Cons, gaming conferences, and entertainment trade shows.
  • Identify and nurture community leaders, creators, and superfans.
  • Track and report on engagement, growth, sentiment, and player feedback KPIs.

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of experience managing gaming communities.
  • Direct ownership experience with Reddit, Discord, and/or Steam hubs.
  • Deep understanding of platform-specific cultures and best practices for Reddit, Discord, and Steam.
  • Exceptional written communication skills with the ability to adapt tone across brands and audiences.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively across diverse teams.
  • Ability to interpret and follow brand guidelines.
  • Experience working closely with game developers or live service teams.
  • Strong instincts for community sentiment, crisis management, and player empathy.
  • Familiarity with moderation tools, bots, and community analytics platforms.
  • Passion for games and fandom culture, especially in franchise-driven ecosystems.
  • Experience launching or managing communities for AAA or live service games (preferred).
  • On-camera or live hosting experience for AMAs, streams, or community events (preferred).
  • Background in content creation or social media strategy (preferred).
  • Familiarity with Paramount franchises or similar entertainment brands (preferred).

Benefits

  • Annual salary range of $90,000–$100,000 in Los Angeles.
  • Base salary may vary based on location, qualifications, experience, and relevant expertise.
  • Remote role.
  • Hybrid work designation (#LI-hybrid).
  • Opportunity to work on franchise-driven interactive entertainment at Skydance Games/Paramount.
