Description

  • Operate Azure and hybrid environments, including incident resolution, changes, patching, backup, recovery, capacity, performance, and security.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot platforms with Azure Monitor and Log Analytics.
  • Convert recurring issues into automation, runbooks, and permanent fixes.
  • Support hybrid infrastructure across Windows Server, Linux, VMware/Hyper-V, Azure Arc, networking, and Entra ID.
  • Build and maintain infrastructure as code and automation using PowerShell, Bicep/Terraform, Azure DevOps/GitHub, and Azure Policy.
  • Work directly with customers on incidents, technical issues, changes, and root-cause analyses.
  • Maintain clear operational documentation and handovers.
  • Help develop the Romanian Azure operations team through onboarding, knowledge sharing, runbooks, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience operating Microsoft Azure and Windows Server in production environments.
  • Knowledge of Azure networking and identity, including VNets, DNS, firewalls, VPN/ExpressRoute, Entra ID, and RBAC.
  • Experience with PowerShell, infrastructure as code, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with IT service management processes, including incident, problem, and change management.
  • Strong English communication skills, structured problem-solving, and a customer-focused approach.
  • Ability to start work around 06:00 EET, participate in an on-call rota, and travel occasionally to Germany.
  • German language proficiency at B2+ level (preferred).
  • Experience with Azure Virtual Desktop, Azure Update Manager, Azure Backup/Site Recovery, Defender for Cloud, cost management, Microsoft 365, or Intune (preferred).
  • Azure certifications such as AZ-104 or AZ-802 (preferred).
