Description

  • Plan and execute end-to-end Red Team engagements simulating advanced real-world adversaries.
  • Develop realistic attack scenarios based on risk, threat intelligence, and adversary TTPs.
  • Conduct reconnaissance, exploitation, privilege escalation, credential access, persistence, defense evasion, lateral movement, and command-and-control activities.
  • Assess the organization’s ability to prevent, detect, investigate, respond to, and recover from cyberattacks.
  • Run collaborative Purple Team exercises with SOC, Threat Hunting, Incident Response, and Detection Engineering teams.
  • Validate alerts, telemetry, detection logic, and investigative procedures, and identify gaps with actionable recommendations.
  • Assist with penetration testing of enterprise networks, systems, applications, cloud environments, and security infrastructure.
  • Design, deploy, secure, maintain, and tear down offensive security infrastructure, including cloud-based attack infrastructure in AWS.
  • Collect, preserve, and document evidence, attack paths, and MITRE ATT&CK mappings throughout each engagement.
  • Produce comprehensive technical reports, executive summaries, and out-briefings with prioritized remediation guidance.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of offensive cybersecurity experience in penetration testing, Red Team operations, adversary emulation, or related assessment work.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Ability to independently plan and execute Red Team and penetration testing engagements from scoping through final reporting.
  • Hands-on experience with network, Active Directory, identity, endpoint, application, and cloud attacks.
  • Strong understanding of MITRE ATT&CK, adversary TTPs, Windows, Linux, networking, authentication protocols, and enterprise security architecture.
  • Experience building and operating offensive infrastructure in AWS, Azure, or comparable cloud environments.
  • Experience with command-and-control frameworks and offensive security tooling.
  • Experience performing manual exploitation, privilege escalation, lateral movement, credential attacks, persistence, and defense evasion.
  • Demonstrated ability to collect technical evidence and produce professional penetration testing or Red Team reports.
  • Ability to work independently within authorized scope and Rules of Engagement.
  • Ability to be cleared.
  • Preferred certifications include OSCP, OSEP, OSWE, GPEN, GXPN, and CRTO/CRTO II.
  • Preferred experience working in federal government environments and directly with SOC, Threat Hunting, Incident Response, and Detection Engineering teams.
  • Preferred experience developing custom offensive tooling, scripts, payloads, or automation.
  • Preferred experience leveraging AI-enabled tools to support reconnaissance, testing, analysis, and reporting.
