Description

  • Design and implement AI-driven SOC automation that triages, enriches, investigates, and responds to security alerts.
  • Translate existing Tier 1/2 SOC triage, investigation, and incident response runbooks into automated workflows on Torq.
  • Own end-to-end technical delivery for strategic accounts, including architecture, build, validation, and handoff.
  • Engineer integrations across customer security stacks such as SIEM, EDR/XDR, IdP, ticketing, and threat intelligence tools.
  • Design, tune, and evaluate AI agent behavior using prompt engineering, guardrails, and human-in-the-loop checkpoints.
  • Serve as a trusted technical advisor to SOC leaders and analysts through working sessions and blocker resolution.
  • Drive customer adoption and help teams realize measurable outcomes within weeks of deployment.
  • Feed field learnings back into product and help shape new Professional Services offerings.

Requirements

  • 4–6+ years of experience in a technical security role, such as SOC analyst, detection/automation engineer, incident response, or cybersecurity Professional Services / Solutions Architect.
  • Hands-on understanding of SOC operations, including alert triage, investigation, escalation, and the incident response lifecycle.
  • Direct experience with at least one SIEM tool (Sentinel, Splunk, or Chronicle) and one EDR/XDR platform (CrowdStrike, Defender, or SentinelOne).
  • Proficiency in at least one of Python, Bash, or Go, plus fluency with REST APIs, JSON, and webhooks.
  • Practical experience using LLMs and agentic AI, including prompt engineering, agent behavior evaluation, and awareness of failure modes like hallucination and over-automation.
  • Strong customer-facing communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical and AI concepts to analysts and CISOs.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent enterprise engagements and shifting priorities.
  • SOAR platform experience, especially migrations from legacy platforms, is preferred.
  • Detection engineering experience and familiarity with KQL, SPL, Sigma, or YARA are preferred.
  • Familiarity with agentic AI infrastructure such as MCP, tool/function calling, RAG, or vector stores is preferred.
  • MSSP or multi-tenant deployment experience is preferred.
  • Cloud security fundamentals across AWS, Azure, or GCP IAM, logging, and API models are preferred.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, GCIH, GCIA, GCFA, or an AI/cloud certification are preferred.
