Description

Own the context layer that agents read, including rules files, documentation conventions, and grounding data.
Publish standards for prompting coding agents, supplying context, and writing specs for agent use.
Define review gates for AI-generated artifacts and feed reviewer feedback back into conventions.
Turn working prototypes into supported workflows that can be used by others beyond the original author.
Evaluate harnesses, models, and vendors using criteria and eval sets.
Collaborate on product-to-engineering handoffs with PMs, designers, and engineering managers.
Create documentation, worked examples, office hours, and hands-on enablement for teams using the tools.
Set boundaries for when agents can run unattended, when human approval is required, and when AI should not be used.

Requirements

BS/MS in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
7+ years building and maintaining production software.
Recent, direct Ruby on Rails experience in a large codebase.
Ability to read unfamiliar application code quickly and assess AI-generated output.
Experience shipping LLM-backed systems and keeping them running beyond prompt tuning.
Experience building context or memory handling and writing evals.
Judgment about what belongs in code versus in the model.
Track record of evaluating tools with evidence.
Experience with internal tools, platforms, conventions, or workflows used by other engineers.
Comfort with CLI and harness-shaped software, and connecting systems through APIs.
Strong writing skills for docs and worked examples.
Experience in healthcare or another HIPAA-regulated environment is a plus.
Experience with agent harnesses, MCP servers, or orchestration frameworks is a plus.
Experience with AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, or Docker is a plus.
