Description

  • Develop and execute revenue cycle strategy to improve revenue, cash flow, and financial sustainability.
  • Establish, monitor, and improve KPIs including gross collection rate, AR days, clean claim rates, denial rates, and cash performance.
  • Partner with executive leadership, operations, clinical leadership, IT, compliance, and sales to drive revenue optimization and cost containment.
  • Oversee information flow between Revenue Cycle, Medical Records, and other departments to support accurate documentation, timely billing, and resolution of insurance inquiries.
  • Lead payer performance initiatives and work with internal stakeholders to identify and resolve payer issues.
  • Provide strategic oversight of vendor partners, ensuring adherence to SLAs and KPI targets.
  • Champion a patient-friendly financial experience through transparent billing practices and responsive customer service.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and payer regulations, including HIPAA and CMS guidelines.
  • Partner with legal and compliance teams to address audit risks and corrective action plans.
  • Identify and implement AI, automation, and other tools to improve accuracy, reduce costs, and increase productivity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, finance, or a related field is required.
  • Master’s degree, such as an MBA or MHA, is strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in healthcare revenue cycle management.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a turnaround or rapid-growth environment.
  • At least 3 years of experience in operational transformation or performance improvement consulting is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with EHR and revenue cycle platforms is preferred.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of revenue cycle functions including patient access, coding, billing, collections, denials, and reimbursement models.
  • Strong technical, analytical, executive communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Proven ability to manage GCR and EBITDA-impacting metrics in a PE or high-growth environment.
  • Demonstrated success managing multi-site or multi-entity revenue operations in a healthcare provider setting.

Benefits

  • Remote work with travel to Scottsdale, AZ about once per month.
  • Full-time Monday through Friday schedule, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Arizona time.
  • Salary exempt position.
