Description

  • Design, build, and deliver large-scale real-time systems with high quality, scalability, and operability.
  • Collaborate with product management, data science, and other engineering teams to deliver end-to-end customer solutions.
  • Review technical designs and code changes and provide feedback to engineering peers.
  • Identify technical debt and propose solutions to address it proactively.
  • Own system operations by using monitoring and observability tools to detect and respond to issues.
  • Mentor and coach team members to raise the technical bar on the team.
  • Work with other engineers and managers to architect solutions and plan the work.
  • Contribute to a platform used for real-time decisioning and scoring in fraud prevention.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in software development with modern programming languages.
  • Experience programming in a functional style.
  • Experience with software design and architecture.
  • Experience designing for scalability, performance, and reliability.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Practical experience using modern AI development tools, including AI coding assistants.
  • Ability to provide effective context to AI tools and critically evaluate generated code for correctness, security, maintainability, and long-term quality.
  • Experience building distributed systems or machine learning products is preferred.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP is highly desired.
  • Experience with Java, SQL, Apache Spark, gRPC, HTTP/REST, Kubernetes, Docker, Linux, Cassandra, Pub/Sub, or Databricks is relevant to the role.
