Description

  • Manage a team of analysts and subject matter experts within the Chargeback Investigations team.
  • Identify root causes of process inefficiencies and implement creative, collaborative solutions.
  • Analyze data to identify, prioritize, and address risks and opportunities.
  • Drive standardization and continuous improvement across chargeback operations.
  • Interpret stakeholder needs, facilitate negotiations, and design solutions that meet business needs.
  • Serve as a customer-focused advocate and maximize value for merchants and the business.
  • Manage multiple competing priorities and coordinate work across senior leadership and tactical teams.
  • Respond to escalated customer and external issues and provide expertise, direction, and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to create long-term solutions.
  • Manage operational reports, create ad hoc reports, present findings, and recommend actions to senior leadership.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of previous management experience in chargeback management.
  • A track record of leading, empowering, and growing a team of chargeback professionals.
  • Experience working on payments or tech-related projects.
  • Experience leading departmental and enterprise-wide projects.
  • Strong problem-solving, change management, and analytical skills.
  • Success in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment leading complex operations initiatives.
  • Ability to autonomously drive and prioritize multiple initiatives.
  • Strong diplomacy, stakeholder influence, and comfort working in an unstructured environment.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of the ecommerce payments landscape in LATAM.
  • Business proficiency in English and Spanish or Portuguese.
  • Knowledge of card network operating regulations (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover) for merchants and consumers (highly desired).
  • Experience with credit card chargebacks in ecommerce or payments industries (highly desired).
  • Experience with payment platforms or processors such as Adyen, GetNet, GlobalPay, Mercado Pago, PayPal, or Rede (highly desired).
  • Advanced Excel skills (highly desired).
  • Familiarity with Git and Google Workspace (highly desired).
  • Knowledge of SQL and dashboard design in Looker (highly desired).
