Description

  • Work independently and with the team to support department goals.
  • Research new products, features, and developments and gather feedback.
  • Improve operational workflows through process improvements and automation opportunities.
  • Perform quality assurance checks on new features.
  • Support product teams through product and feature launch stages, ensuring alignment on timelines, requirements, and success criteria.
  • Develop metrics and projections from large datasets to identify trends, measure outcomes, and forecast performance.
  • Translate data insights into business cases and recommendations that drive action.
  • Build analytical tools and dashboards to measure the impact of chargeback initiatives and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate and reliable source data for key metrics and ensure measurement of integrity-related performance.
  • Collaborate with data science, BI, product, engineering, and merchant teams to resolve issues and address root-cause vulnerabilities.

Requirements

  • Fluent in English and Portuguese, both written and verbal.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in chargeback analysis, fraud prevention, or payment operations in LatAm, EMEA, or North American markets.
  • Proven data analysis experience using quantitative data to identify chargeback trends and optimize dispute win rates.
  • Experience with SQL, Python, Databricks, and Looker.
  • Hands-on experience with payment processors across LatAm, EMEA, or North America.
  • Strong knowledge of card network regulations, including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover chargeback processes and dispute rules.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to turn complex transaction data into actionable insights.
  • Ability to maintain strict security, privacy, discretion, and confidentiality when handling sensitive data.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize heavy workloads, multitask, and work flexible hours as needed.
  • Preferred: experience in customer service, merchant onboarding, transaction log analysis, automated chargeback platforms, or alternative payment methods such as Pix, iDEAL, or Klarna.
