Description

  • Set the benchmark for rigorous, research-backed end-to-end product experiences that balance customer needs and business goals.
  • Plan and execute core design activities including user research, synthesis, ideation, prototyping, and design execution.
  • Lead and manage a team of product designers, guiding their day-to-day activities from research through execution to ensure consistent high-quality outcomes.
  • Collaborate closely with product, business, and technology teams to define, scope, and manage the end-to-end product experience and align roadmaps to vision.
  • Guide UX designers on research strategy and insights generation and ensure delivery of high-quality UX artifacts (task flows, wireframes, usability testing outputs).
  • Guide UI designers to deliver best-in-class visual design that is consistent, on-brand, and validated by users, and work with front-end developers to ensure correct implementation.
  • Mentor and coach design team members, introduce new ways of working, and grow the team’s capabilities and potential.
  • Synchronize customer research across teams, map customer journeys, synthesize insights at the journey level, and ensure the voice of the customer informs decisions.
  • Identify and remove team impediments, continuously challenge the status quo, and look for improved technical and design solutions.
  • Represent design at company events and stakeholder sessions, facilitate workshops to define experience strategy and key design requirements.

Requirements

  • Proven ability to plan, direct, and deliver clear research processes and artifacts (qualitative and quantitative research, usability testing, task flows, wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and design systems).
  • Demonstrated ability to make design decisions at the team and product level.
  • Experience working on projects that span multiple organizations and business units.
  • Significant experience driving design outcomes within Agile environments and deployment strategies.
  • Seasoned design expertise with deep knowledge of current methods, trends, and design operations.
  • Experience in Agile development workflows as a product designer, including familiarity with tools such as Jira and Confluence.
  • Experience managing design priorities within a product backlog and understanding the relationships among Product Owner, Scrum Master, and the team.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to align stakeholders on complex product decisions and advocate for the voice of the customer.
  • Active coach and mentor with a track record of growing and maximizing team performance.
  • Willingness to challenge the status quo and continuously seek better ways of solving technical and design problems.
