Description

  • Lead end-to-end software delivery processes and optimize deployment cycles for speed, quality, and reliability.
  • Design and implement CI/CD and automated deployment pipelines across engineering teams.
  • Manage infrastructure-as-code solutions and multi-cloud environments to improve scalability and operational efficiency.
  • Mentor and coach engineering teams to improve coding practices, DevOps maturity, and problem-solving capability.
  • Define and enforce engineering standards, secure coding practices, and automated quality controls.
  • Identify and resolve bottlenecks in development, deployment, and system performance.
  • Drive automation initiatives to reduce manual effort and improve development productivity.
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and infrastructure teams to deliver integrated platform solutions.
  • Lead engineering delivery transformation and encourage innovation in architecture and operating practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 8–12 years of experience in software engineering, DevOps, or platform engineering roles.
  • 3–5 years of experience in a technical leadership or senior engineering management role.
  • Proven experience with CI/CD implementation, cloud infrastructure, and DevOps transformation.
  • Experience managing multi-cloud or large-scale distributed systems preferred.
  • Experience working in global or China-based technology environments is an advantage.
  • Strong English communication skills; Mandarin is an advantage.
  • Strong technical leadership with hands-on engineering capability.
  • Experience coaching and mentoring engineering teams.
  • Ability to solve complex problems and drive innovation in challenging environments.
  • Cross-functional collaboration experience with product and engineering teams.
  • Ownership mindset and accountability for delivery outcomes.
  • Leadership experience in change management and engineering transformation.
  • Deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure and cluster management tools such as Tencent, Alibaba Cloud, AWS, and Kubernetes.
  • Experience building automated deployment pipelines with tools such as GitHub Actions or GitLab CI/CD.
  • Extensive coding experience with Terraform, Python, bash, and shell scripts.
  • Hands-on experience with observability tools including Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK or Loki.
  • Experience managing API gateways, CDN configuration, load balancers, VPC design, and network segmentation.
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems concepts such as service discovery, fault tolerance, eventual consistency, and horizontal scalability.
  • Cybersecurity experience including secrets management, SAST/DAST integration, least-privilege IAM, and secure supply chain practices.
  • Cloud cost management expertise including tagging strategies, rightsizing, reserved/spot instance planning, and FinOps reporting.
