Description

  • Own technical SEO end to end, including audits, prioritization, and issue resolution using SEO tools and custom analysis.
  • Lead Generative Engine Optimization and AI search strategy across content, structured data, and entity signals.
  • Design, run, and evaluate continuous SEO and GEO experiments with rigorous tracking and analysis.
  • Build dashboards and analytical frameworks that tie organic activity to rankings, citations, conversions, and revenue.
  • Implement on-page SEO elements such as internal linking, schema markup, metadata, canonicalization, and content structure.
  • Identify and fix indexation, crawlability, broken link, redirect, Core Web Vitals, and JavaScript rendering issues.
  • Write product requirements and development tickets, and partner with engineering and design to ship improvements.
  • Use AI tools and AI-enabled workflows to scale audits, research, content production, and competitive analysis.
  • Stay current on algorithm updates and retrieval behavior, then translate findings into internal playbooks.
  • Distribute and repurpose content across owned and rented channels to drive organic value.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in SEO, growth, analytics, or organic marketing roles.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an analytical field.
  • Strong analytical ability with fluency in GA4, Google Search Console, and spreadsheets.
  • SQL or Python is a strong plus.
  • Excellent writing skills, including the ability to write briefs and full articles.
  • Strong technical aptitude, including understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, rendering, and crawlability.
  • Relentless ownership mindset with the ability to drive work end to end.
  • High learning rate and strong interest in SEO and GEO algorithms.
  • Eagerness to learn and apply AI tools and AI-enabled scaling techniques.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
  • Bonus: experience shipping GEO or AI-search experiments with measurable lift in citations or referral traffic.
  • Bonus: experience with log file analysis, custom SEO scripting, or building internal SEO tooling.
  • Bonus: a public body of work such as a blog, talks, open-source tools, or case studies.
  • For San Francisco candidates, this is a hybrid role with 2 days per week in the Larkspur, CA office.
