Description

  • Establish operational procedures for inbound and outbound shipments, materials handling, and inventory control.
  • Maintain the physical condition of the warehouse and equipment, including submitting repair and replacement requests.
  • Coordinate warehouse activities with customer service, sales, and other functional areas.
  • Ensure warehouse safety, sanitation, maintenance, security, and housekeeping standards are met.
  • Manage the operation’s budget and P&L to support profitability and productivity.
  • Monitor facility KPIs and drive operational excellence across warehouse areas, equipment, and systems.
  • Maintain proper warehouse layout and product placement in partnership with other teams.
  • Ensure accurate timekeeping for direct reports and reporting teams.
  • Participate in interviewing, hiring, training, assigning, and appraising supervisory and hourly staff.
  • Lead cultural change within facilities and resolve complaints and operational problems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college or university, or equivalent experience in Supply Chain Operations, Fulfillment Center Operations, or Distribution Center Operations.
  • 6 to 8 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS).
  • Preferred experience with labor management systems and productivity initiatives.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification is a differentiator.
  • Proficiency with enterprise technology systems, including Advanced Excel, Outlook/Gmail, Project Management Software, WMS, and process workflow creation.
  • Ability to present information effectively and respond to questions from managers, clients, and internal/external customers.
  • Strong problem-solving ability in situations with limited standardization.
  • Ability to interpret written, oral, diagram, or schedule-based instructions.
  • Experience leading teams of 40+ employees, building layers of leadership, and managing direct report performance.
