Description

  • Own the full product loop from discovery and story/spec creation to prototype, production PR, and outcome measurement.
  • Own the forecasting, placement, and replenishment decision surface for inventory optimization.
  • Run customer discovery and synthesize research from tickets, interviews, behavioral data, and competitive signals.
  • Demonstrate deep knowledge of the product domain and present demos to merchants and partners.
  • Analyze product metrics, identify usage patterns and anomalies, and define success metrics and kill thresholds.
  • Maintain a prioritized roadmap based on impact and speed.
  • Evaluate solution fit against ShipBob’s architecture, service boundaries, and data contracts.
  • Write clear story/specs, review AI-generated code, and route changes through a prototype-then-PR workflow.
  • Participate in architecture reviews and make build-vs-buy-vs-defer decisions.
  • Make rollout-or-kill decisions based on experiment data and product performance.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of product management, product engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Hands-on use of AI tools in a professional context.
  • Ability to write precise story/specs that AI tools can act on directly, including state machines, business rules, data contracts, and edge cases.
  • Technical fluency to read a data model, evaluate an API contract, and spot when AI-generated code diverges from target architecture.
  • Track record of shipping working prototypes or production code.
  • Experience in supply chain, fulfillment, logistics, transportation, or e-commerce technology.
  • Comfort operating in a fail-fast culture.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • Hands-on experience with AI development tools such as Claude Code, Driver.ai, Cursor, Replit, V0, or Figma AI (preferred).
  • Working knowledge of Python, SQL, or TypeScript (preferred).
  • Experience with inventory planning, demand forecasting, replenishment, or multi-node placement optimization at scale (preferred).
  • Experience transitioning a product team from traditional SDLC to an AI-native operating model (preferred).
