Description

  • Serve as the primary owner for planning and executing complex specialty pharmacy implementation projects.
  • Define the implementation approach for new partner sites and develop and drive project plans.
  • Build collaborative relationships with hospital stakeholders, including director-, VP-, and C-suite-level leaders.
  • Own site-based staffing plans, including staffing analysis, hiring, onboarding, training, and interim site leadership as needed.
  • Review existing specialty pharmacy workflows and define, implement, refine, and optimize go-forward operational processes.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to implement IT and data analytics infrastructure for new health system partnerships.
  • Coordinate internal Shields teams to ensure work is on time, appropriately scoped, and aligned to partner expectations.
  • Develop client-ready presentation and analysis materials to support partner meetings and decision-making.
  • Provide project status reporting, lead status meetings, and complete weekly customer and internal updates.
  • Navigate unique implementation challenges with agility, critical thinking, and problem-solving ownership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 5-7 years of experience managing complex projects in healthcare provider organizations.
  • Private equity and consulting experience, preferably in the healthcare sector.
  • Experience working in healthcare delivery environments such as hospitals, health systems, or ambulatory care.
  • Basic subject matter knowledge across finance, operations, information technology, HR, training, and marketing.
  • Experience managing client relationships across department managers through VP- and C-suite-level stakeholders.
  • Ability to facilitate in-person and phone meetings and drive discussions to decisions and accountability.
  • Strong relationship-building, problem-solving, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and presentation deadlines simultaneously.
  • Excellent skills with Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Willingness to travel 4 days per week, typically to multiple cities, with a variable schedule.
  • Detail-oriented, independent, adaptable, and able to quickly learn pharmacy operations from internal experts.
