Description

  • Build and maintain new product features across the Sezzle platform.
  • Collaborate with engineers and product owners to design, develop, and deliver features.
  • Participate in design and architecture discussions for next-generation platform capabilities.
  • Contribute to code reviews and work hands-on in the codebase.
  • Help build and deploy scalable solutions with the team.
  • Assist with planning, estimation, and project completion alongside stakeholders.
  • Mentor engineers who are early in their careers.
  • Solve challenging technical problems as part of a cross-functional team.

Requirements

  • 3-7 years of experience for this mid-level development role.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science is required.
  • Experience solving technical problems as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with modern frontend development; React experience is preferred.
  • Ability to work with backend-focused languages like Go or similar statically typed compiled languages.
  • Intermediate understanding of relational databases like MySQL.
  • Knowledge of automated testing practices, including unit, integration, and end-to-end tests, is preferred.
  • Familiarity with RESTful API principles and design is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of microservice architecture is preferred.
  • Close familiarity with software engineering tools, development methodology, and release processes is preferred.
