Description

  • Build and maintain new product features across the Sezzle platform.
  • Partner with engineers across multiple teams to design, develop, and deliver features.
  • Participate in design and architecture discussions for new capabilities.
  • Contribute to code reviews and work directly in the codebase.
  • Collaborate with feature owners to gather insight and suggest improvements.
  • Help build and deploy scalable solutions with the team.
  • Assist with project planning, estimation, and delivery for stakeholder-requested work.
  • Mentor other engineers who are early in their careers.

Requirements

  • 3-7 years of experience in software development.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science preferred, or equivalent related experience.
  • Experience solving technical problems as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with modern frontend development; React experience preferred.
  • Ability to solve problems with backend-focused languages like Go or another statically typed compiled language.
  • Intermediate understanding of relational databases such as MySQL.
  • Knowledge of automated testing, including unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
  • Familiarity with RESTful API design principles and microservice architecture.
  • Close familiarity with software engineering tools, development methodologies, and release processes.
