Description

  • Architect, upgrade, design, and build scalable infrastructure solutions using Kubernetes, AWS, and RDS.
  • Drive the infrastructure roadmap to improve reliability, recoverability, and scalability.
  • Perform capacity planning, benchmarking, and stress testing to identify bottlenecks and prepare for growth.
  • Define, maintain, and enforce SLAs and alerts across infrastructure.
  • Improve anomaly detection and alerting with more flexible, higher-signal monitoring.
  • Lead AI enablement efforts to apply automation to infrastructure reliability, developer productivity, and internal tooling.
  • Build consistency and scalability across a distributed microservices architecture.
  • Establish and evolve engineering best practices for observability, security, and CI/CD.
  • Mentor engineers and promote a culture of learning, innovation, and operational excellence.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to translate business goals into technical roadmaps and deliver outcomes.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of professional software engineering or infrastructure engineering experience, including significant SRE and backend experience.
  • Recent hands-on experience deploying significant changes to production applications or infrastructure within the past 30 days.
  • Strong proficiency in Golang and experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs.
  • Expertise with SQL-based RDBMS such as MySQL and PostgreSQL, including schema and query optimization for scale.
  • Proficiency with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or New Relic.
  • Solid understanding of distributed systems design patterns such as transactional outbox, event-driven architecture, stream processing, and queues.
  • Ability to bring new ideas forward, influence decisions, and lead complex technical initiatives.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure, especially AWS Aurora RDS for MySQL and Postgres, preferred.
  • Experience with data engineering, data pipelines, and data warehousing, preferred.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deploying containerized microservices in Kubernetes, preferred.
  • Familiarity with AI developer tools such as Claude Code, Gemini CLI, Codex, or Cursor, preferred.
  • Track record of shipping commercial APIs and data-driven applications in high-growth environments, preferred.
  • Proven leadership in guiding technical direction, improving reliability, and scaling high-traffic services, preferred.
