Description

  • Help own and build new features in a cross-platform TypeScript React Native app and Golang backend APIs.
  • Manage mobile releases using cohorting, feature flags, and app store infrastructure to support safe rollout to millions of users.
  • Work closely with product, design, business, backend, and QA teams to ensure stakeholder needs are understood and met.
  • Write clean, scalable, robust, and testable code with the team.
  • Develop deep working knowledge of the application, data domain, and KPIs.
  • Lead features end-to-end from requirements and design through implementation, deployment, monitoring, and improvement.
  • Perform high-quality code reviews focused on maintainability, clarity, and best practices.
  • Drive technical decisions and propose improvements that raise code quality across the team.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional mobile development experience.
  • At least 2+ years of experience in React Native or a similar technology such as Flutter.
  • Experience developing and delivering a mobile application to the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
  • Strong familiarity with modern frontend development using JavaScript or TypeScript and React Native or a similar cross-platform framework.
  • Deep understanding of React Native architecture, hooks, context, navigation patterns, and performance optimization.
  • Understanding of relational databases such as MySQL.
  • Strong familiarity with unit testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testing tools such as Jest, React Native Testing Library, Detox, and Appium.
  • Experience mentoring junior or mid-level engineers.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science.
  • Preferred: ability to solve problems with backend languages such as Go, Python, Java, or similar.
  • Preferred: familiarity with microservice architecture composed of HTTP APIs.
  • Preferred: experience working with native code on iOS and Android.
  • Preferred: knowledge of mobile CI/CD pipelines such as Fastlane, Bitrise, and GitHub Actions.
